Star House

Helping Kids Reach Higher

STAR House Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Roswell, Georgia. We provide after-school tutoring and mentoring for underserved children throughout North Fulton County. We currently serve children within three North Fulton schools, with a growing unmet need. Our summer camp is an extension of our after-school program, bridging the gap for elementary students by focusing on academic retention to combat summer learning loss. Providing this strong foundation gives local kids in need the opportunity to shoot for the stars!

Learn about Star House here.

Whether you prefer to work directly with children, assist with administrative tasks, organize supply drives, bring in enrichment programs or tap into your creative side and serve on an event committee, we would love for you to join us.

Volunteer
Two ways to volunteer with STAR House Foundation:

On-site Volunteering
After-school volunteers read and listen to a child read, help students review for tests, teach good study habits, check homework for accuracy, tutor a child in a favorite subject or assist with special school projects. We will match you with the program that best meets your expertise, interest and availability. In addition to staff, dedicated volunteers enable us to reach each of our students in a more meaningful way, encouraging each student’s academic potential.

Off-site Volunteering
For those unable to work directly in schools, we offer other volunteer opportunities. Our volunteers make community outreach events possible by serving on fundraising and event committees and providing administrative support. Our corporate volunteers organize snack and school supply drives. They also guest speak at our schools, sharing life study skills, info about their trade or profession, or special skills with our students.
