As followers of Jesus, we are called to welcome, serve, and love our neighbors. Our Class of 2027 Confirmation Class will serve breakfast and share God's hospitality with members of our community experiencing housing insecurity in Atlanta.

Confirmands and their teacher will meet at the RPC South Tower entrance to drive together to First Presbyterian Church in Atlanta (1328 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30309).

Statement of Faith Night

We invite confirmands, their families, mentors, RPC Session members, ryeX 7th graders, and the church community to join us for Statement of Faith Night.

This meaningful milestone in the Confirmation journey gives students the opportunity to share their personal faith story, reflect on how God has been at work in their lives, and express their commitment to Christ and the Church.

Confirmands, Mentors, and Confirmation Teachers should arrive by 6:15 PM and gather in the gym for a time of prayer before the official Session meeting begins at 6:30 PM

Throughout the evening, students will share their Statements of Faith in small groups with mentors, church leaders, family members, and friends, followed by words of affirmation and prayer.

The evening concludes as the Session votes to receive the confirmands as official members of Roswell Presbyterian Church, followed by a joyful time of celebration together.

These sessions will provide an overview of the Confirmation process and outline the required classes. We look forward to sharing this meaningful journey with you!

What is Confirmation?

Confirmation is a vital component of the ryeX Youth Ministry. Students eighth grade and older, have the opportunity to explore, question, and enrich their faith in a safe environment. This is their time to claim their faith as their own by professing Jesus as their Savior and Lord, and then becoming members of the church. Students take a look at the fundamentals of the Christian faith as well as important aspects of Presbyterianism.

During Confirmation, we strive to teach students about God in an engaging and interactive way. Through our 12 classes, students will cover a variety of material about God, the church, and the greater Christian community.
