Brighten Christmas for Foster Kids with a Stocking Donation
Place in the bins outside the Church Office by Monday, November 30.
Make a difference this Christmas by helping provide a special gift for foster children in our community through Act Together Ministries. This meaningful service project is perfect for families, small groups, or friends to do together.
Sign up to purchase one or more of the items listed in the Sign-Up, then place your donations in the collection bins outside the Church Office by Monday, November 30.
DIRECTIONS FOR FILLING A STOCKING:
1. Fill a stocking with each of the items listed above. Feel free to substitute as need. Each child should receive 10-12 items in their stocking.
2. Pray over the child.
3. Use an index card and sharpee marker to prepare a label for each stocking. “Teen Boy”, “Preschool Girl” “Boy Under 12” “Gender Neutral Child” etc. Try to leave a large window for who the stocking can be given to.
4. Attach the index card to the stocking and make sure the label is easily visible on the outside of the stocking. Suggestion: hole punch note card and use a ribbon to tie it onto the stocking loop.
5. If preparing a large number of stockings, please sort by age/gender and put the stockings into boxes and label the boxes- teen girls, little boys, etc.
