Roswell Presbyterian Preschool Curriculum
Each child is encouraged to develop as a whole person: spiritually, emotionally, socially, cognitively, physically, and creatively. Self-esteem and self-confidence thrive in our developmentally appropriate program.
Our Preschool program is available for students 18 months through four years old (by September 1). Each class has standards in place to meet the developmental needs of your child, setting them up for success in their future endeavors. We believe that a balance of teacher-directed and child-directed activities encourages engagement and growth in each child. Our teachers seek to learn the interests of their class and design stimulating activities to best serve their needs.
This class is designed for four or young five year old students ready for an advanced curriculum where reading, writing, and math skills are taught in a motivating way to prepare the children for success in kindergarten.
Children love art! Most ages attend art class once a week. They will experience different forms of art - from learning about painting like Vincent Van Gogh to making their own paper. You will be amazed at the artist your child becomes.
A trained and educated music teacher provides a music program designed specifically for each age group. The children engage in music through vocals, instrumentals, rhythms, and movements. Every child has music class once a week.
Addressing the gross motor needs of each age group, our creative movement teacher engages them in active, exciting games to strengthen their core, help with their balance, and encourage flexibility in our little ones.
Our program is a ministry of Roswell Presbyterian Church. Children in our program flourish in a loving, nurturing Christian environment. An age-appropriate chapel time is offered each month to all students. The daily classroom curriculum is Christian-based and teaches each child to know that God loves them.
The staff of Roswell Presbyterian Preschool is made up of Christian teachers trained in early childhood education and diversified in age, experience, and interests, who provide a rich collection of talent, care, and expertise. Our teachers love what they do!
Morning and afternoon carpool (drop-off and pick-up) are part of our program. Teachers are present to assist the children in and out of the cars then to and from their classrooms. Each family will receive a carpool number for pick-up. Everyone is required to use this service.
There are many opportunities for parents to be involved in our program. The Parent Auxiliary is an active organization that supports our program and unites families in our school. We encourage parental involvement in all areas!
