Every Tuesday!

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Tuesdays
1 — 3 p.m.
Room 246

Did you know RPC has a group of dedicated "knitters" who create lovely prayer shawls and lap robes for our members in distress of any kind?

Are you looking for a way to make new friends while knitting?

Are you ready to sit, chat and create at the same time? We have needles, patterns (if you desire) yarn, and a very friendly group! Even an instructor if you would like to learn to knit.

All are welcome. Casual attire. New members are encouraged to participate in this small group setting. It's always good to recognize somebody and call their name when you see them on campus. Attendance is at your pleasure. However, you may find you don't want to missing seeing your new friends.

Questions, contact Sonia Scheb by calling 770-649-4526, or email Sonia@roswellpres.org.

El Camino Pilgrimage: an Unforgettable Experience!

Tuesday, May 14
12 (noon) to 2 p.m.
In Alderman Hall.
Cost is $13 per person
Deadline is Friday, May 10

RPC members David & Dee Dee Rhodes will guide us thru their El Camino Pilgrimage. This will be a unique and exciting presentation! Don’t miss this great opportunity to learn more of its history. The Rhodes will share about their trip to Spain (Madrid, Leon, and Camino Trail). In particular they will talk about their walk of 104 miles in 9 days (walking 9-3 15.5 miles/day) of the Camino. The Camino is one of the paths that St. James walked as he was preaching the Gospel throughout Spain. The pilgrimage was with 13 other individuals from Australia, Tennessee, California, Missouri, and Rome, Georgia. It started in Leon, Spain and ended at the Cathedral in Santiago, Spain (where St. James is buried).

Two ways to be included

Border Encounter

Ever wonder what is really happening on the Southern border? What are the causes and how should the Church be involved? RPC is hosting a Border Encounter experience to help all of us understand who these people are that live in our very own community. There are 2 ways to be included:

1. Join in on the Zoom discussion with Rev. John Nelson from Tres Rios ministries in El Paso for an opportunity to share with a pastor who lives and works on the border.

2. Participate in the Border Encounter to El Paso in October to see with your own eyes as we are guided by Tres Rios and Abara House.

Message Rev. Dr. Dan Kreiss (dan@roswellpres.org) if you would like to receive the Zoom link or receive more information about the trip to El Paso.
