Dear Congregation of Roswell Presbyterian Church,
It is with great pleasure that we are now able to announce to you the name of RPC's new Interim Senior Pastor, Dr. Mark Brewer. Mark is a third-generation Presbyterian minister who received a Bachelor of Social Science from Colorado State University and his Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. He has been privileged to lead four churches across the country: Cherry Creek Presbyterian in Denver, Ward Presbyterian Church in Detroit, Colorado Community Church in Denver, and Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles. In November 2012, Mark left Bel Air Presbyterian Church to start a bold new venture, All Saints Ministry and Ministry Lab Network, a worshiping community combined with a school of practical theology.
Mark has authored two books, A Walk into the City, which addresses the issues of cross-racial and cross economic relationships, and What Is Your Spiritual Quotient?, which takes on the tough issues of life Christians have to address daily.
It was at Colorado State University that Mark met his wife, Carolyn, who earned her degree as an occupational therapist. Mark and Carolyn have been married since 1978 and have three adult children, Vanessa (married to Scott Golembeski), Paul, and Rachel (married to Matt Seirignano). Mark and Carolyn love anything outdoors, great movies, wonderful food, traveling, being grandparents, and spending time with family.
I hope that you are excited about Mark's arrival and plan on meeting him in person when he preaches on Presbyterian Heritage Sunday, October 18.
