So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. - Romans 14:19 (NLT)
You have brought us together as the congregation of Roswell Presbyterian Church and blessed us with a myriad of gifts and talents and personalities. You have given us a leadership of Pastors and Staff, Elders, our PNC and other committees -- each who are different. Sometimes when we work together, Lord, those differences become very apparent. Sometimes we step on each other's toes. We pray that you would remind us, Lord, that each of us is your creation; that each of us deserves the other's respect and esteem. Grow in us a love for one another and a desire to encourage one another. When we see our brothers and sisters working on a project for the good of our congregation, help us to build them up and to do what we can to assist them in their endeavors.
Remind us to show gratitude, Lord. We pray that we would be motivated by the Holy Spirit to show love to one another in a way that strengthens us and draws us ever closer together as a community of believers because we believe that as a community of believers united in you, we can do great things in your name. We love you Lord, and seek to honor you. Help us to honor one another so that we honor you.
In your name we pray, AMEN.
