30-Day Prayer Devotional for RPC - Day 35

Day 35

Psalm 133
A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem. A psalm of David.
How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!
For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron's head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe.
Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion.
And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.

Dear Lord,

We give thanks to you for this day, for today as a Congregation we will be presented with the name of the nominee for Senior Pastor of Roswell Presbyterian Church. Lord, we pray for harmony among us. Help us to be respectful of the work and devotion of the PNC and mindful of their discernment process. We give thanks for the many hours our committee has spent praying, studying, interviewing, calling - all the time spent to search for the person who should serve. We look to this day with excitement for our future, assured by your holy presence that you will always be with us because we know that you always have been. Thank you for your constant care, your neverending love for us and your everlasting devotion. We build our hope on you alone, Lord, and in this hope we seek harmony among us.

We pray all of this in your name, AMEN.

** We will continue the Prayer Devotional for RPC through Sunday, November 20, specifically in light of the exciting news that the PNC has unanimously approved a candidate for nomination as RPC's next Senior Pastor and the Congregational Meeting will be Sunday, November 20 immediately following the 11:15 a.m. worship service.

We follow the next week with some Give Thanks! devotions and then we will start Advent with our scratch-off Advent 2016 Calendar.

The daily devotion and prayer will be posted to this blog and you can also sign-up to receive this information via text message, text @rpcpray to 81010 or sign-up online.
