Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other. - 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
We thank you for those who endeavor daily to lead us in your work. We earnestly pray for the Pastors, Staff, Elders, and PNC of Roswell Presbyterian Church. In a world where so many people are willing to sit back and unplug, these people choose to step up, take charge, and to bear the mantle of leadership in the name of Jesus. They make themselves vulnerable to criticism because they are in the spotlight. They take time away from their jobs, their families, their friends, even their hobbies because they see the importance of furthering your cause, spreading your Word. They serve as your hands and feet in the world. And God, we are so grateful. Thank you for all their hard work among us. Thank you for all they do to give us spiritual guidance.
We pray that we would be a people who would be good at saying Thank You for what our Pastors, Staff, Elders, and PNC have sacrificed on our behalves. Help us to be a people who honor them, and help us show them respect and wholehearted love because of their work. Lord, most of all, help us to live peacefully with one another. In a world that seems to encourage discord, help us to be the people who demonstrate patience and love to our brothers and sisters in the world. We pray that we would be sowers of your truth and love always.
In your name we pray, AMEN.
