30-Day Prayer Devotional for RPC - Day 27

Day 27

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. - Mark 1:35

Dear God,

When we read your Word, we realize that even Jesus needed a quiet prayer life and time alone to devote to you. How much more, then, must we need one? We pray for the spiritual life of each of our Pastors and Staff at RPC. So often we think that because someone works at a church they must have great amounts of time to devote to quiet meditation, prayer, and study of your Word. But we know that the daily interruptions in the Church Office are no different than any other workplace. There are distractions everywhere. Emails to answer, phone calls to take, meetings to attend. We pray that our Pastors and Staff would find time in their days to be alone so that they could focus solely on you and their relationship with you. Let this time renew them. Let it strengthen them. Let it fulfill them.

We pray that you would also provide quiet time of meditation and prayer to the members of the PNC. Lord, grant them time in their days to focus on you so that they may be renewed and refreshed. Let the time they spend in prayer reassure them in the work they have set out to do in finding a new pastor to lead RPC.

We pray all of these things in your Holy name, AMEN.
