30-Day Prayer Devotional for RPC - Day 15

Day 15

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance. - Hebrews 6:10-12

Dear God,

We give thanks for the Pastors and Staff of RPC and the diligent hours they work in and outside the walls of our church. We give thanks that they are devoted to the needs of our congregation and the world outside it. Lord, they work so hard on your behalf and we are grateful for the time our Pastors and Staff spend caring for the sick and injured, the disheartened and the struggling of our church, and for the time they spend rejoicing with us as well. We are grateful for the many hours spent planning programs, preparing lessons and teaching, and all the attention to the very many details of making RPC a congregation that honors you. Dear God, be with them each day as they work to honor you and continue to fuel them so that they are never spiritually dull or indifferent. Keep their faith constantly strengthened and renew their endurance each day so that our Pastors and Staff are always prepared to do your work with hopefulness and joy.

We give thanks also for the many hours our PNC members have devoted for the search for a Senior Pastor to lead us. We are grateful for the countless hours they have spent preparing and researching candidates, reading resumes, listening to sermons, and all the other many tasks they've done to find a candidate who honors you and the needs of our congregation. Even when they grow weary, we pray that they would not become spiritually dull or indifferent in their work. We pray that they would commit to their work with hopefulness and joy and that they would be blessed for their faithful commitment.

We ask all these things in your holy name, AMEN.
