30-Day Prayer Devotional for RPC - Day 12

Day 12

O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you; to do what is right, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. - Micah 6:8 (NLT)

Dear Lord,

Through your Word you tell us over and over what is good; and in your care for us, you show us your goodness time and time again. Your requirements seem so simple, but sometimes as we go through our daily tasks, living up to them is more difficult than it should be. Lord, we pray for our Pastors and Staff at RPC, that they would be an example to all with whom they come in contact of your love and mercy. Grant them the strength to do what is right when it is not easy. Give them the voice to speak in love when they should, and the wisdom to listen when they must. Empower them with a love of mercy that equals yours, so that when they act they do so with grace and compassion to all of those around them. May they be your instruments of peace always.

Lord, we pray these things for our PNC members also. May their humble walk with you also remind them that the journey they are on together is not one of being right or the best or the loudest, but of fulfilling your requirement. Help our PNC to do what is right, to love mercy and to walk humbly with you each day. Grant them patience through this process and help them to show grace to one another and those around them.

In your name we pray, AMEN.
