Woven Together As a Congregation - Sunday, August 23, 2015 - Rev. Emily Wright

Woven together here at RPC.

Years ago one of the Associate Pastors, Margaret Turney-Ayer, asked if I would teach her Wednesday Bible study while she was away for two weeks. I had never officially taught adult women, let alone women who had all studied the Bible considerably more years than I had. I honestly didn't feel I had anything to offer to them and that it was going to be hard to find points of connection. Five years later, these women have transformed my faith and life. I cannot imagine studying scripture any other way. This is the key - we are a motley crew who all love the study of scripture and we are an intergenerational crew.

Roswell Presbyterian Church is unique for large churches in that it is filled with people of all different ages and stages. RPC is blessed because we have single people join the church alongside a retired couple. RPC is stronger because of our age diversity. The single greatest factor proven to help faith stick in the lives of children as they leave home is... well, you'll just have to wait and hear today. Welcome!
