This morning we conclude our look at three parables of Jesus. When Jesus receives growing criticism from his opponents because of the crowd he hangs around with, he responds with three parables of redemption. We looked at the lost brothers in the Parable of the Prodigal two weeks ago. This morning we look at two more lost possessions. One was a coin which was lost in a house and the other is a sheep that wanders off and gets lost on its own. In both stories the heart of the parable is in the One which pursues the lost item with relentless determination.
I pray that each of us this morning is humbled by the persistent God who diligently pursues us until we are safe in His arms.
