It has been said the things that feel good in life are pleasure, happiness, and joy. When you experience one you want it to never stop. But what about this thing called joy. How do we "reload" our joy quotient? How do we "re-joice" when life is grinding any sense of happiness out of us?
This morning we examine the secret of the joy-filled life, the secret of letting the Spirit of God grow this delicious fruit in our lives. The spiritual journey is not about us forcing joy into our lives. The spirit-filled life is about simply creating the soil in our lives for the fruit to grow on its own. It is the Spirit of God's job to grow the fruit. Our job is to stay attached to the true vine of Christ so the harvest takes place. I pray we enrich the soil of our lives this morning a little bit more so joy can be our companion in our journey.
