Whether you are reading this before Sunday from your computer or phone, or you are sitting in a pew right now, may you take a moment to pause. Breathe deeply. Rest in God's presence. Enjoy this moment.
Moments of peace and calm seem few and far between for all of us. This morning we look at the fruit of the spirit, gentleness, a fruit God offers to all, and yet so difficult and countercultural to possess. What does it look like to have a gentle spirit? I can't wait to explore this with you as we look at the story of the woman who anoints Jesus' feet with her tears.
May this story connect with each of ours and enable us to make room for gentleness in our lives.
