Today is the third Sunday of Lent, the time on the Christian liturgical calendar that leads up to Easter. People often use this season to determine what in their lives is preventing them from growing in their relationship with God. As we have seen over the past few weeks, there is much in our world that tries to block our spiritual growth.
In today’s sermon, we will look at the fourth deadly sin, the sin of lust. Our Scripture passage will show the apostle Paul calling his readers to put lust behind them so that they might cultivate a deeper and richer relationship with God and with other people. As with all of the other deadly sins, we will see that ultimately, God wants us to flourish as human beings!
On the journey with you,
