Run & Hide - Sunday, May 8, 2016 - Rev. Lyndsay Lee Slocum

This is a great day for us to gather together to worship! Today we are going to look at one of the classics of the Christian faith - the story of the prophet Jonah and his escapades in the belly of a big fish. We learn so much from the story about being bold enough to hear and accept the call that God places in our lives. This is a great story for those of us who have felt intimidated by what we feel God is asking us to do.

At 11:15, our elementary choirs will proclaim the Word through story and song as they tell us the story of Jonah and the big fish. We are grateful for the leaders and volunteers who have put so much of their time into preparing this time of worship! We are also very proud of all our students who have worked so hard to lead us.

I am so glad that you are here this morning and I am grateful to be able to worship with you. May we all feel the presence of the Holy Spirit this morning!
