Psychologists say that February is the best month to make New Year's resolutions. Why? Because when we make them in January we are doing it because we think we're 'supposed' to rather than really wanting it. It is very easy to say one thing and do the opposite.
Today as we begin a series this Lent on Jesus' last journey to Jerusalem, we enter this holy time of year focusing on the important rather than merely the demanding things. As we study this morning some people who had excuses for not following Christ, it is a good time to reflect on our own priorities and games we spiritually play as well.
