iServe - Sunday, November 1, 2015 - Rev. Brad Clayton

November is here! We are in the midst of our Season of Service and I hope you have taken the opportunity to volunteer. There are great ways to get involved here at the church or with our mission partners. Just check our website to get more information or to sign up to serve.

In our passage this morning, the disciples ask an important question: "Who is the greatest?" The disciples seem to be obsessed with this question, and frankly, so do we. From our position in our families, to our status at work, to the latest top-ten list, we rank and value everything in our lives, including ourselves. But Christ calls us to question those values. Christ calls into question everything we do to bring glory to ourselves, and instead commands us to serve. That is a humbling calling, but the good news is that our value is already secure. God's love and value for each of us will never be broken.

I look forward to worshiping with you all this morning.
