Welcome to worship!
I hope you have had time to enjoy some 4th of July festivities this holiday weekend. I can't think of any finer place than in the house of the Lord to continue to celebrate the many blessings we enjoy in our lives.
This morning we will take time to reflect upon Jesus' public ministry, beginning with his very public baptism. There weren't fireworks exploding up into the sky upon this momentous event, but something even better than that! The Spirit came down from the sky, opening all eyes and ears to God's message: " You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased."
I think there are important lessons for us to learn from Jesus' baptism so let's explore this water in the wilderness together, shall we?
