As they say, “if at first you don’t succeed, so much for skydiving." There are many times in life when God’s grace allows us to stumble and get up and start over. Ironically transitioning to a new chapter is not one of those times. If we mess up at the “hand-off” in the relay race of life, it is very difficult to catch up. So how do we transition to something new in a successful way? One of the more complicated people who ever lived helps us learn how. David is both sinner and saint (like all of us), yet the Lord used him to successfully pass the kingdom onto one of his least likely sons, Solomon.
As we study this remarkable man and his ability to discern the truly important things in life, we can all get a “leg up” in managing the river of life to God’s glory, and our blessing.
