Go, and may the Lord be with you - Sunday, May 10, 2015 - Rev. Lyndsay Slocum

Good morning!

This is a great day for us to gather together to worship! Today we are going to look at one of the classics of the Christian faith - the story of young David and his battle with the giant Goliath. We learn so much from the story about walking in faith instead of fear and allowing God to be the one who fights the battle. This is a great story for those of us who have felt overwhelmed by what we are facing in our own lives.

At 11:15, our elementary choirs will proclaim the Word through story and song as they tell us the story of the brave young David. We are grateful for the leaders and volunteers who have put so much of their time into preparing this time of worship! We are also very proud of all our students who have worked so hard to lead us.

I am so glad that you are here this morning and I am grateful to be able to worship with you. May we all feel the presence of the Holy Spirit this morning!
