Memorial Day Weekend is the time we remember the men and women in uniform who died serving our country. While the first observances began immediately after the Civil War, it is Lincoln's words at Gettysburg that call us to honor those who "gave the last full measure of devotion."
Many people make all kinds of sacrifices for freedom, justice, country, family, friends and peace. You and I are here today and each Sunday because of the greatest sacrifice of all - that of Jesus at Calvary.
Enjoy the holiday and remember. Live the Abundant Life and know the Peace that passes all understanding.
