2nd Mile: Then and Now: New Vision - Sunday, April 23, 2017 - Rev. Jeff J. Meyers

*This is the complete 11:15 a.m. service from Sunday, April 23, 2017.

A special thanks to all of you who helped welcome – by putting together flower arrangements, singing, greeting, folding bulletins, and in so many other ways -- over 3000 people to Easter worship last Sunday!

Today, we continue in the spirit of Easter by moving into our 2nd Mile for Mission campaign. Over the next three weeks, you will have the opportunity to hear about how God is at work through RPC and our mission partners. Please consider how God might be calling you to support this important work.

On Thursday, I had the privilege of getting to know some of the 35 students that meet weekly at Aspen Pointe. Under the direction of Dr. Clara Herrera, Director of Neighborhood Action, and many volunteers, young people in our community are finding meaning and purpose through God’s love. Because Clara is not usually at RPC on Sundays, it can be easy to forget that she is hard at work during the week. She connects RPC with many families in our community that often feel marginalized. Please join me in lifting Clara, the Aspen Pointe community, and our Neighborhood Action Ministry up in prayer.
