2nd Mile for Mission: Priorities Guide Us - Sunday, April 29, 2018 - Rev. Mary Cox

*This is the complete 11:15 a.m. service from Sunday, April 29, 2018. The sermon begins at 30:20 on the video.

This has been a busy week to kick off 2nd Mile for Mission. On Wednesday, we heard stories and saw pictures that captured our most recent mission experience in Guatemala. We also had a special guest from Guatemala, Pam Muñoz, who brought personal greetings of appreciation from students, teachers, principals, and pastors we have come to know and love throughout RPC's partnership for over 15 years.

Just yesterday, we brought it closer to home as many of us gathered at HomeStretch, a transitional housing partner, to serve as extra hands in sprucing up the homes and common areas of this special neighborhood. We make it a practice to "not do what others can do for themselves," but when HomeStretch residents work multiple jobs to get back on track toward self-sufficiency, our gift of time and presence shows healthy support.

This morning, it is my privilege to share more about how God is moving through our relationship with local and global mission partners. May we be inspired to bring our gifts together so the impact will be even greater for all involved. To God be the glory!
