Over 3,500 Americans die from drowning each year. Drowning is the second leading cause of accidental injury death among all children, and the leading cause in ages 1-4. Come learn what you can do to make your family safer, which products help, and which are dangerous, key drowning risk factors for different age groups, and how to choose swim lessons. We will investigate the myth of “dry drowning” and discuss the very real threats of Shallow Water Blackout and drain entrapment, as well as many other interesting phenomenon and factoids involving water safety.
