 JC Smith Seminary
Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary is one of the ten theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Established in Charlotte, NC, in 1867, as part of the Freedmen’s College of North Carolina and renamed Johnson C. Smith University in 1923, the religion department moved to Atlanta, GA, in 1969 and took its present name. The seminary's particular calling is to prepare leadership for PCUSA out of the African American heritage and membership of our denomination. |

Coalition for Kids
The mission of Coalition For Kids in Johnson City, TN, is to provide educational, spiritual and social guidance to underprivileged children ages 6 - 12 so that they may have the opportunity to reach their full potential in their respective communities. Programs include after-school tutoring and homework support, evening entertainment and mentoring programs, and free recreational and educational activities year round. |

Widows Harvest
Widows Harvest Ministries is a Christian based non-profit service organization based in Chattanooga, TN that has assisted widows in a number of areas (including home repairs) since 1987. For widows in urban America the outlook can often be quite bleak. Government agencies as well as local churches are often limited in the types of assistance they are able to provide to help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of widows. |
