Details: Since 1983, NFCC has been committed to providing emergency assistance to North Fulton residents by connecting the broad resources of the community with the evolving needs of the area. NFCC compassionately offers hope and dignity to North Fulton families and individuals in need. Today's economic employment crises along with rising food and gasoline prices have devastated many local family budgets.
Currently NFCC is seeing hundreds of families each month, and its Food Pantry is distributing about tons of food weekly. The Food Pantry is in desperate need of donations to serve all of their clients. In addition to food assistance, NFCC is experiencing a dramatic increase in the number of families requesting financial help for rent and utilities and clothing.
The center provides Easter baskets in the spring, school supplies in its Back to School program in August , warm coats and other winter apparel for adults and children in October, special assistance services for senior citizens, holiday family sponsorships in November and December, and a Santa shopto make holiday gifts available to families in need.
Volunteer opportunities abound all year long at North Fulton Community Charities. To find out how you can help, contact Lisa Gunning at 678/366-2702 or lgunning@bellsouth.net.
