Volunteer Opportunities:
Contact: Sue Sharp or Canita Allen at 678/381-2000.
Mentor teams for 3 families. This will be a 7 to 12 month commitment, once a month meeting to work with the client on steps toward working on home ownership. (We have guidelines and a training for this) Once a month 2 to 3 hours for 7 to 12 months.
Office assistance to work with clients processing once a week only a few hours. Must have computer skills. This person could identify take home projects for the stay at home Moms etc. that maybe able to assist.
Property maintenance person. We have 5 properties that need some oversight. 5 hours a week and this person could recruit others to assist with various projects as they are identified. Weekend warriors etc. for lawn care.

Details:
The mission of Find A Way Home, Inc. is to provide quality, affordable housing to work-force families who need help. Many of them are working in professions that are highly valued, but they are the very people who cannot afford to live in our community - teachers, firefighters, police, paramedical/paralegal, clergy and others who earn 50-80% of the median income in North Fulton County .
RPC's involvement is to help renovate or refurbish purchased homes and ready them for occupancy and to identify volunteers to help with family mentoring, teaching life skills, budget counseling, and working with the advocacy team.
